 Simon
Evans is not maybe the first comedy name I selected to review this
year mainly because I had not seen much of him before, but I
certainly wasn't disappointed having just witnessed his
performance.
The
man is genuinely funny and unlike some, does not rely on four
letter words to make him amusing. His almost 'plumy' accent is
somewhat unusual also, but his material dos not really go down
that route.
He
is self depreciating of his talent telling his capacity audience
that word of mouth obviously isn't working as we are all there!!
He
chats well with those who choose to question his statements, but
is not nasty , even if some deserve his wrath.
Time
will tell as to whether he becomes as big a name as such as that
of his stable mate Jo Brand, but I would not be surprised if he
didn't.
