St George's Medics Revue

Take a bunch of medics, about nine would be ideal, add a whole wad of medical based material, some of which is in the worst possible taste, mix liberally with satire and singing and this is a perfect prescription for a pre dinner tonic.

This is not the first time I tried to see this show. I originally tried two days ago, and whether the hot reputation of this company had caused problems but I was joined at the venue by Lothian and Borders Fire Service who evacuated the whole hotel.

Anyway, it was a good, fast paced revue show that is surely worthy of a longer run. The couple of running gags work well and were not overdone and there are obviously some very talented writers and performers in the company.

If laughter is the best medicine, well these guys and gals are obviously hedging their bets, would be doctors AND merry makers. The world will soon be a healthier place!!
