Newsrevue 2003
Canal Cafe Theatre
Canal Theatre has been producing this type of shows for many years and I have never seen a bad one. I'm delighted to say I still haven't after witnessing this years offering.
The show format doesn't vary, but then it doesn't have to. Once a winning formula has been achieved why alter it. The four performers plus M.D. give the packed audience an hours worth of satirical songs, lampooning lyrics and comical character assassination of the politicians, Celebs and not forgetting the Royals, no-one is exempt from these extremely talented performers.
Highlights? Well it's difficult to pick one or two, but I particularly liked the 'Tony' skits and George Dubya reading his notes together with all the song parodies.
Well done News Revue, here's to the next twenty-four years.
