There
are many similar format show on the Fringe this year as always,
and the slant on this one was that all the comics were female.
It
follows a tried and tested route of a master or should that be
mistress of ceremonies who does her ten minutes to warm up the
audience before introducing each guest to do their stint.
It
has a very laid back feel with the front of the theatre set up
with tables rather than the more usual banks of seats and the
ladies didn't seem to know exactly how much material they were
supposed to do, hey but what the hell, we all had a beer and
nowhere else to go.
The
line up changes nightly, so check out the board outside Teviot
House to see who is performing when you want to go. The night I
was in I was particularly impressed with Javonka Steele, Sarah
Kendall and Shazia Mirza.
