Television
and radio star Fred McAuley has gone back to his roots for the
first time in years and is doing his comedy routine that ‘he'd
never get away with at 9.05 in the morning’.
I
suppose it was more that ten years ago I first saw Fred live and
it seems like his audience, he has grown up a lot and has become
more 'middle class'. It
appeared to me that a lot were there to see 'that bloke of the
radio' rather than a stand up.
Fred's material, was funny, there were
plenty of personal anecdotes but I felt sometimes it was a little
too Scottish based. Okay, I know he is rightly a proud Scot but
.... Anyway this is a good chance to see one of the hardest
working performers on the Fringe, with his daily radio show, a
Fringe TV programme and an hour’s comedy as well.
