Confessions of a Psychic
Peter Lamont
Peter Lamont is advertised as 'A former psychic who reveals how he used to fake paranormal phenomena, until he discovered the real thing....'
Well whether Peter is a true Psychic or not I am still not sure. He tends to describe most of his audience as skeptical but open. His show consists of him showing us the tricks of fake psychics and how they use information gained beforehand to give open meanings which can mean something to anyone. He goes on to show how some phenomena can be put down to chance i.e. thinking of someone, the phone ringing and it’s them. He then goes on to explain the Tarot cards and how the meanings are usually adjusted to give a positive reading. Along with his audience participation with his paranormal experiments, a touch of magic, some telekinesis and metal bending this was a fascinating show. Not quite what I expected, but then what did I expect, I still don’t know if he is a Psychic but I certainly enjoyed the show and would love to find out.
In the comedy section of the fringe he is certainly humorous but he also made me think. I've always wanted to believe but am not convinced yet, if anything I'm even more unsure!
If you are convinced one way or the other please let us know!
