Brendon
Burns has a reputation for being a really edgy stand up, and I
must admit I went to his show with an element of apprehension.
Okay
certainly he is more in your face than a lot, but I don't think
his bad boy reputation is deserved. Well, maybe we were spared a
little, as a couple of drunks attracted his attention from the
start, but I'm sure the 'old Burns' would have strung them up, I
felt he let them off far too easily.
It
is still quite vitriolic, his humour is still dark and edgy, but I
suppose like us all he's getting older and maybe loosing some of
his angst. He tells us he has more or less off the beer for a
year, so maybe this has had an effect on him, but for all this may
sound negative, it's not meant to, I enjoyed his performance.
