Blind Date
Hodar Amsterdam
Has impro comedy had it's day? Definitely not if this is the standard of fare that is served up by this international troupe of performers based in Amsterdam.  Peter More, Gerry van den Laas, Lolu Ajayi, Grainne Delaney, Leanne Littlestone and Nicole Mischler  have the benefit of being directed by Jordan Peel ex of Boom Chicago! now of Mad TV back home in the USA.
The 6 ask for audience suggestions as to the characters they will be performing for the show and then proceed to create a very funny comedy loosely based on these and the Blind Dating rigmarole.
Each actor adds their own brand of mayhem to the plot and the versatility is frightening at times.
I won't attempt to tell you the plot of the show I saw because when you go, and go you should, it is bound to be different, but I'm sure the quality will be just as good.
As with all impro comedy some of the situations get a little wacky, but, hey, that's the name of the game, it certainly added to what is an excellent way to spend almost an hour.
